I am not a historian, will never be, but there are certain periods of history which fascinate me. Not so much the cataloging of dates, more exploring why things happened and the ability of mankind to endure turbulence, turmoil and uncertainty against the backdrop of societal or indeed world events.
In the future it is my intention to post pages here discussing moments in history that have particularly captured my imagination.
